There are several common side effects of taxotere. The first side effect is the increased risk of getting an infection. This is because it is going to reduce the amount of white blood cells that are inside of the blood. The white blood cells help fight the infections so when there are less, then it reduces the chances of a person getting an infect. The second side effect is breathlessness and looking pale. This is because the amount of the red blood cells in the body are going to decrease. The red blood cells are what is going to carry the oxygen to the body.

 

The third side effect of taxotere is tiredness or weakness like fatique. This is going to happen during and after the treatment. It can take up to 6 months for a person to get their energy levels back to the way that they were. The small amount of red blood cells in the body can also make a person feel tired. The fourth side effect is hair loss. This is going to happen about 2 or 3 weeks after taking the medication and will normally grow back a few months after the treatment is done. The fifth side effect of taxotere is a skin rash. Most of the time, the rash is going to be very itchy. It is very important to tell your doctor about the rash so that they can give you some medicine to help stop the itching. It is also going to make the skin smoother. The sixth side effect is a buildup of fluid. A person is going to notice that they have gained some weight along with some swelling in their face, hands, and feet. The eighth side effect is soreness, redness, or peeling in the hands and feet. You might also experience some dryness, pain, numbness, and tingling in your hands and feet. Some of the things that you can do to help this is to keep your hands and feet as cool as possible, do not put them in hot water, no tight fitting gloves or socks, and keep the keep moisturized.

 

The ninth side effect of taxotere is a sore mouth. This means that it might become very painful to swallow any drinks or food. It is a good idea to use a mouth wash on a regular basis to help with this. There are also some painkillers to take before you eat to help with the soreness. The last side effect is diarrhea. If this starts to happen to you, then you need to drink plenty of water so that you will be able to stay hydrated. Tell your doctor about the diarrhea so that they can prescribe you some medication.
